In 1981, Iron Maiden released their second album, Killers. Artist Derek Riggs had already created the infamous Eddie mascot that appeared on the cover of the band’s self-titled 1980 debut. Eddie returned on the cover of Killers, this time with a bloody hatchet in his hand.
