The Moody Blues was formed in early 1964 by Ray Thomas and Mike Pinder, who had previously played together in a couple of local Birmingham bands. They began recruiting members from rival groups including Denny Laine, Graeme Edge, and Clint Warwick. The Moody Blues released the hit songs “Nights In White Satin”, “Tuesday Afternoon”, “Fly Me High” and “Gemini Dream”, and became true rock icons.
