In Voltron, five pilots are sent by the Galaxy Alliance to explore a planet devastated by war. The pilots arrive on Arus and are captured and taken to Planet Doom. They then escape, return to Arus, and become the pilots of the robot lions and Voltron. The mighty robot battles villains like Emperor Zarkon and Viceroy Throk.
